Professional Scrum Product Owner – May, 21th 2025
Professional Scrum Product Owner™ (PSPO) is an interactive, activity-based course where students gain a strong understanding of Professional Scrum and the role of the Product Owner.
Through a combination of discussions and exercises, students develop a deep understanding of the responsibilities of a Product Owner, the principles of value-driven product development, and the Agile mindset. They will also learn how to effectively manage the Product Backlog, maximize product value, and collaborate with stakeholders and Scrum Teams.
The course also includes a free attempt at the globally recognized Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) certification exam.
Course Overview
In this two-day class*, students are challenged to explore Agile product management and Scrum principles to better understand how to apply Scrum in a way that maximizes product value for their teams and organizations.
The course, developed by Scrum.org, combines instructor-led and activity-based learning, where students collaborate in teams. Professional Scrum Trainers (PSTs) bring their real-world experience as Product Owners, sharing insights and practical examples. Using their expertise as trainers, they deliver the material in an engaging and interactive manner, ensuring a deep understanding of Scrum theory, the Product Owner’s accountabilities, and the importance of each element of the Scrum framework.
Students leave this course with a solid grasp of Professional Scrum, the Agile mindset, and the key responsibilities of a Product Owner. They gain the knowledge and skills to effectively manage the Product Backlog, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive value-driven product development, while also learning how to navigate common challenges in agile product ownership.
